Round 1: Wan (Season 1: Spring)

Wan Household:

Patricia Wan: Adult Female | Popularity/Knowledge | LTW: Become Media Magnate | First Wishes: Meet Someone New, Entertain, Talk, Gain a Creativity Skill Point (Locked) | First Fulfilled: Meet Someone New

Cleo Shikibu: Adult Female | Fortune/Popularity | LTW: Become Criminal Mastermind | First Wishes: Meet Someone New, Earn $100, Be Friends with Violet (Jacque), Be Friends with Robert (Kim) | First Fulfilled: Meet Someone New

---------------------------------------------------------------

As we begin both girls sit down and start skilling.  We redirected to better meet their wishes by having Patricia practice piano and Cleo go give financial counseling on the computer upstairs.

Then it was time for the welcome wagon to arrive.  Funny, I don't remember there being a welcome wagon that visited the Roth family.  Maybe they had already been played for a little time and I just forgot and didn't take pictures. This welcome wagon was great for both Patricia and Cleo as it gave them new people to meet.

Patricia headed off to work, which she holds in journalism, and that is her LTW.  Cleo, on the other hand, works in Music, which is not where her LTW lies.  We will have to see if Cleo decides to change careers as so time.  Mary Gavigan invites the house downtown. She brings her family and a few others.

Cleo really wants to dance with someone.  She also finds Mary's husband, Nathan very attractive.  They, however, are just friends but do take some time to dance together.  Cleo then goes home.

After work Patricia comes home and wants to each spaghetti.  So she cooks some up.  The remanents of the party 'lunch meat sandwiches' Cleo had made are still on the table.  The party is still in full swing in the other room.

Patrica meets Chester, I believe, and they hit it off.  Nothing romantic is happening, she is interested in Mr. O'Mackey, but she is a popularity sim, after all, so everyone can be a friend.

Cleo is a party queen, poor Patricia almost never gets a chance to throw one because Cleo always starts a party before she is home from work. Cleo really wanted to have a date with someone.  In the relationship panel, all 2-bolt guys she knows are married.  We don't really want Cleo to become THAT sim, so the highest level friendship of a non-married sim in John Mole.  A double check of his update shows he is not attached, even a little bit.  So she tries to ask him on a date.  It fails miserably, so she dances with Sanjay Ramaswami.  He is also 2-bolts but married, but dancing isn't an issue.

The failure to get a date with John Mole throws Cleo for a loop and she throws a wish I have never seen before.....or if I have I have never clocked it.  She wishes for a Love Potion 8.5.  So the gypsy is called and the potion is bought.  She doesn't drink it and doesn't wish for anything else to do with it, yet.

Patricia comes home from work and once again wants to eat spaghetti, so off she goes.  This time, though, she starts a fire.  Luckily they have a fire alarm and the fireman quickly get the burned dish put out.  She does still eat it and fulfills that wish.

Sadly, for Patricia, she has been meeting so many wishes for her knowledge side, her popularity side has taken a hit and her social is in the tank.  A social bunny shows up.  Luckily Patricia brought a friend home from work this day and so the social bunny isn't even needed.  She wanted to be friends with this girl, and thus it was.

Patricia then needed her wishes to be shaken up just a bit and we head to a community lot.  There she meets another very familiar sim to most simmers, Circe Beaker.

It was probably Patricia's wish, but I thought Cleo wanted the hot tub.  Either way, Patricia spends some more time with a new friend in the hot tub. She rarely, if ever, wishes for Gabe O'Mackey, so we will see what he wants when we get to his house.

Cleo wants to pillow fight with a sim all the time. She is getting a high enough relationship score with John Mole that he willing pillow fights almost anytime.

Cleo then throws a want I have been hoping for.  She wants to go on a date and flirt with a sim.  John Mole is called over, the only unmarried sim with a high enough relationship, or at least I hope so, to ask on a date.  She calls him up and he says yes.  During the date, Cleo wants to flirt with him, and this also succeeds.  They are now crushing on each other.

A look at both of their wish panels shows the desire to make out with each other.  They hadn't even kissed, so their first kiss is had.  Then they proceed with a make-out session.  I'm excited about this potential match.

The date ends "well" with some woohoo in Cleo's bed.  She then wants to meet new people again.  That popularity side coming out big time.  We see Goneril Capp walk by and Cleo runs out in her underwear to great here.  Apparently, Goneril wanted to meet someone else too, unless she wanted to see someone in their underwear.

Patricia, I believe, wished for some more spaghetti, so she served some dinner. Goneril joins both ladies and they have a pleasant dinner to wrap up the spring season.

Summary:

Patricia Wan: A pretty easy sim to keep happy overall.  Her knowledge side had really kicked in and she skilled a lot.  She also wanted to make spaghetti all the time.  The funny thing was, to get a new promotion she needed a cooking skill.  She wished for creativity, mechanical, charisma, but no cooking.  She did finally get it from making spaghetti all the time. We will see what happens when we get to the O'Mackey house, maybe he'll want more time with Patricia.
Ending Wishes: Reach Cooking Level 4, Be Saved From Death, See a Ghost, Reach Creativity Level 7

Cleo Shikibu: A very easy sim to keep happy.  She had one difficult day towards the end of the round which kept her from getting 5 wishes, but every other day, the constant stream of parties and influencing sims caused her to get things easily.  She also got a really good  ($14000) bonus at work for a chance card which helped this family get out of near poverty quickly.
Ending Wishes: Be BFF with John (Mole), Be BFF with Mary (Gavigan), Meet Someone New, Have a Party

Round 1: Roth (Season 1: Spring)

Roth Household:

Morty Roth: Male Adult | Knowledge/Grilled Cheese | LTW: Become Space Pirate | First Wishes: Influence Someone to Make Grilled Cheese, Sandra is an Overachiever (Locked), Make Grilled Cheese for Sim, Eat Grilled Cheese Sandwiches | First Fulfilled: Eat Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Stella Roth: Female Adult | Popularity/Pleasure | LTW: Become Media Magnate | First Wishes: Have a Party, Be Friends with Conner (Weir), Invite Someone Over (Locked), Be Friends with Jenny (Smith) | First Fulfilled: Did not record

Sandra Roth: Female Teen | Family/Romance | LTW: Buy a Pet Food Dish, Flirt (Locked), Be Friends with Danny (Crittur), Be Friends with Sarah (Crittur) | First Fulfilled: Buy a Pet Food Dish

Xander Roth: Male Child | First Wishes: Be Friends with Danny (Crittur), Buy a Game, Be Friends with Etsu (Cho), Be Friends with Sarah (Crittur) | First Fulfilled: Buy a Game

---------------------------------------------------------------

This family is the first to be played in Riverbloosm Hills.  They are actually a "combined" family of Maxis made sims.  The Roth people are one, and the Crittur dogs are another.  I do not remember how I determined to make the Roth's the Crittur's new family, but thus it is. It made for a couple of easy wishes first thing when we start the play by buying some pet stuff. Since Morty is now partially a Grilled Cheese sim he starts off making grilled cheese sandwiches.

Xandra talks on the phone, I believe to Etsu Cho to try and make friends with her.  So far they are not friends, although I do think a day or two later they become friends.

So the good part about moving the Crittur's in with this family is the kids like to do things with them.  The bad news is, they are the worst dogs ever.  They do not have any "good" skills and in fact nearly starved to death multiple times early on because they wouldn't eat anything but people food, which I didn't realize nearly as quickly as I should have.  They also attempted to destroy everything early on.

Sandra, being part Romance sim wanted to date and be flirted with really bad.  I checked her relationship panel and low and behold she has a steady boyfriend in Jacob Martin.  So they head to a community lot for a date.

The date went very well and Sandra was very happy.  Unfortunately for me, we have a rule about wishes met on dates not counting towards the 5 a day, so Sandra still had wishes left to get.

Xander came home with an A+ report card and was very proud of himself.  Sadly, his dad wanted his sister to come home with an A+ not him.  So no wishes were actually met for this.

Sandra, being the half romance sim she is wanted a hot tub.  The family didn't have a TON of money but did have enough after a good chance card to get one, so it was.  We see who I believe is Cleo Shikibu is here.  We play her house next.

Sandra woke up the next morning wanting to do her homework.  I thought, oh great, she will wish for this in the morning and be able to get it done.  Boy was I wrong.  This is one of the ONLY times she wished to do her homework early in the round.

Morty was able to talk grilled cheese with Mr. Burb.  I believe we already had discovered he would talk the cheese, but it's a good refresher anyway.  With all the grilled cheese sims that are in this hood, there are a fair number of them to talk the cheese with and quite a few who are willing to talk the cheese.  Sadly for Morty, Stella is not one of them.

Sandra wanted a cell phone so we went to a community lot to get one.  When we arrive she also wished for a handheld game.  This met a couple of very quick wishes for Sandra.  It was around here when I realized I never had the family invited downtown.  I must have missed the phone call, as I was playing with really low volume.

Xander wanted to get swung around and I believe both parents were busy.  Sandra was free, however, and was willing to swing her brother around.

The Crittur's are still here and life has gotten much better for them.  They now eat out of dog food bowls, spend a lot less time trying to destroy the house and are even almost if not full friends of the family members.  We did get a surprise, however, when Sarah gave birth to 3 puppies.  They were named and sent off to the shelter before anyone could get attached.   I am trying to remember what I named them all.  I know Stevie was the girl puppy but cannot remember the others now.  This is why I typically write them down but was lacking in my notes this round.

Sandra suddenly wanted to get a logic still, although she is starting to get bad grades in school, as is Xander, as either has been interested in doing homework for days.  Neither of them has wished lately to get an A+ either, which I would have determined to mean, I want to do homework.

The Pleasure side of Stella suddenly starts to kick in and she wanted to light a fire.  It does make a pretty picture.  Nothing more happens with the fire this day, but you just never know.

All of a sudden Xander, who has a D+ currently, wanted to do homework and he asks his mom to help him.  He didn't get through the entire stack this night, but he did get quite a bit done.  He wanted to do more during the weekend and got himself all caught up.

Sandra suddenly had a want to plant a seed, so she went to their small garden and planted a tomato seed.  She then promptly wanted nothing more to do with gardening, so it was eventually composted.

Back inside Morty suddenly remember he's mainly a knowledge sim who wants to skill. So up the skill tree, he starts to climb.  I do not remember which still this was, I want to say Mechanical, but either way.

Sandra acts more like a romance sim most days, which I find funny seeing as how she is a popularity pleasure.  She wakes up most days wanting to kiss and date, which are also pleasure sim wants often times, but then she will snap back to specific pleasure sim wants like play on the couch.  She had just had a home date with Morty.

Stella, unfortunately, makes a poor choice on a chance card and ends up fired.  She is sad about it but never wishes to find a job again.  If she does we will see if we can get her back into Journalism, as it is her LTW, but otherwise, she will just stay home.

The next morning we see that one of those dates Stella had with Morty has gotten Risky involved and we have a baby on the way.  I was very surprised as she had not acted pregnant.  No morning sickness, needs didn't drop much faster than normal, nothing.

We then have an unwanted visitor.  Forgot to have them pay the bills they had picked up so the repo man came and took the computer, and then a dog chew toy.  Stella paid the bill and then re-bought the computer (since she held the wish) and the dog chew toy.

Stella suddenly wants to study creativity.  Luckily on one of the upper floors the family has a piano, so she sits down and "studies."  Maybe this means she will eventually want to get back to a job after the baby is born.

Xander wants to do things with his new friend Bottom Summerdream.  I see potentially a lot of fun with these two, although he is also friends with Etsu Cho.  We will see where wishes take him as he grows up.  He will turn into a teen the first day of the next round.

Sandra's romance side is really kicking in and she wants to flirt with some of the other guys in the neighborhood.  Being she is also family, anytime she doesn't wish for a specific person we keep her going with Jacob, but it might end up that he isn't her ultimate partner.

Another pregnancy pop with a smelly dog in the room, apparently.  The dogs are pretty messy even at the best of times.  I often intercede with the dogs right now because of how "bad" the dogs were.  Now that they are getting much better I will probably stop that.

We end the round with 2 more puppies coming along.  I once again do not remember what I named these two, although I'm pretty sure they were both girls.  Both puppies were sent to the adoption pool right away.

Summary:

Morty Roth: This season was very hard for Morty.  He wasn't sure if he wanted to be a knowledge sim, a grilled cheese sim, or what.  He also could not keep his mood up, nearly ever.  Spent a good portion of the first couple of days dealing with the dogs, although towards the end things started looking up for him. He is interesting, as he throws all kinds of wishes for Sandra to do well in school and go to college, but never wishes for Xander to do well in school.
Ending Wishes: Be Saved From Death, Gain a Mechanical Skill Point (Locked), Sandra (Roth) Goes to College, Sandra (Roth) Gets Scholarship

Stella Roth: She was one of the easier sims to keep happy in this family, especially after she lost her job.  She wanted to kiss and date nearly every morning.  Her husband was happy to oblige her.  She is starting to be better friends with her kids and we will see what sorts of wishes she throws next round.
Ending Wishes: Ask Sim on Date, Eat Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Be Flirted With, Buy a Car

Sandra Roth: She was up and down this week, but was the easiest on a regular basis to meet wishes for.  Her romance side certainly took over, and by the end of Sunday, she had thrown a couple of Do Homework or Get an A+ wish that caused her to finally get caught up.  We will just have to see how next week goes for her. She has an ongoing wish to go to college.  It rolls away once in a while for a wish or two and then rolls right back.  So I have gone ahead and locked it for now.
Ending Wishes: Be Best Friends with Hunter (Grove), Be Friends with Natasha (Una), Ask Sim on Date, Go to College (Locked)

Xander Roth: He had a rough week.  He wanted to so bad to play with or be friends with the dogs, but early on they had no desire to be friends with him.  He'd get the relationship built up, would go to give them love and they would reject it.  He never wanted very typical kids wishes, outside of things for the dogs, so it was harder to keep him happy.  Towards the end of the play time, we started getting into a stride I hope will continue.
Ending Wishes: Get A+ Report Card, Go Fishing, Play with Danny (Crittur), Be Best Friends with Bottom (Summerdream)

Academie Le Tour Completed

With that final house in the university played we have come to the end of another neighborhood in Megalahood.  That means we have played through 3 total neighborhoods full of people since we started.  That's only about 1/4 of the way through the entire set up.  Hopefully, you are all enjoying these stories as much as I am.  So here is the breakdown of numbers for Academie Le Tour:

Total Sims in Academie Le Tour: 12
Alive: 12
Dead: 0

Males: 7
Females: 5

Primary Aspirations:
Family: 2
Fortune: 2
Knowledge: 4
Pleasure: 0
Romance: 3
Popularity: 1
Grilled Cheese: 0

Secondary Aspirations:
Family: 0
Fortune: 3
Knowledge: 2
Pleasure: 1
Romance: 2
Popularity: 0
Grilled Cheese: 4

There is a pretty even mix between males and females here, and the 2 extra males brought them up to a closer number with all the females that have been born.  The aspirations are fairly mixed, although there are no Pleasure sims (primary) and only the one Popularity sim in university so far.  It seems obvious that Knowledge would be the primary aspiration at university, but the fact Romane is second is pretty interesting to me.  Grilled Cheese is, once again, pretty standard as a secondary.  I must just have really interesting luck with my die rolls. We are moving to Riverblossom Hills next.

Round 1: Academie Le Tour: 4 Danish Drive (Freshman/Sophomore Years)

Friends Household

Max Flexor: Popularity/Romance | LTW: Own 5 Top-Level Businesses | First Wishes: Gain a Skill Point, Have a Party, Entertain, Meet Someone New | Fulfilled First: Entertain | Major: Physics

Mitch Indie: Family/Knowledge | LTW: Marry Off 6 Children | First Wishes: Entertain, Play With, Tell an Inside Joke, Invite Someone Over | Fulfilled First: Invite Someone Over | Major: Drama

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are finally at the last house in Academie Le Tour.  We have two sims living here, Max and Mitch. They both start out at the very beginning of university so we will play through their entire Freshman and Sophomore years. When we first enter, both boys want to interact so they are great for each other.  Their "house" is a weird set up of two "houses" separate but on the same lot.  Neither has a lot of room and thus they have nothing but a bed, desk, bathroom items, and kitchen items with a small table and chairs.  I decided quickly this was a stupid set up and so I went in and remodeled so that one house was a bathroom and bedrooms, and the other was the kitchen, living room, bathroom.

Max, ever the popularity sim wanted to throw a party.  He didn't really know anyone, but we invited all we could, which was basically his entire phone book and a good portion of people showed up.

During the party, Allegra came in and did research with Mitch, which made him happy as he had wanted to do research with someone.  Mitch was completely uninterested in Allegra as a whole.

There was then a phone call from Roxie Sharpe asking if they wanted to go downtown.  Since we always accept these, and we've come to discover they always come when first playing a new household, we head off downtown to the poker club.

There Max wants to sing Karaoke, and he must not be too bad as Roxie and Jonah dance away the entire time he is singing.  I don't think I had ever seen a couple dance to someone doing Karaoke before, or if I did, never recognized that's what they were dancing to.

Max throws parties almost every day, and sometimes someone even wishes to eat something specific, so we serve a plate of whatever that is.  This is one of the only times the guys actually eat.

Mitch wanted to eat sandwiches and so he made himself one.  Usually, Max and Mitch wait until their hunger bar is all the way at the bottom to eat and thus it takes 3 or 4 sandwiches to fill them.  I actually had to direct them a couple of times to just keep eating.  They are also both slobs, and the houses got extremely grimy until Max wanted a skill point and needed cleaning.  He didn't even have to clean 1/2 the house to get the skill point.

Max had discovered a while ago that DJ Verse was 2-bolts hot and started wishing to do things with her quite often.  She was always invited over to the parties he threw and he usually wanted to pillow fight, entertain or just talk with her.

Max wanted a date, so he called up DJ Verse and they had a really good date.  I believe this ended with them being at least in a crush, although they might have gotten all the way up to love.

Yes, DJ and Max were starting to get very close and were happy to have shared their first kiss together.  I think they were only crushing before, but we are getting close to love now.

Then, at another party, Max wanted to be friends with Wendy the cheerleader.  He is always looking for friends, and he really wanted to dance with someone. I believe DJ had gone home already so he asked his friend Wendy to dance instead.  You can see a little of the set up behind them in the one house.  There is a second chair and a bookcase on that wall, and on the opposite wall, there is a TV and radio.

Mitch was having no luck in meeting wishes and the wishes he had were all things he couldn't accomplish so we took him to a community lot in the hopes he would switch up his wishes.  He did wish to do research and there was a group already doing that, so he joined in.

Max and DJ Verse continue their relationship at yet another part of Max's.  We can see Roxie and Delilah in the background.  Most of the playables Max knew got invited to his parties, and usually, he had a pretty full house.

Mitch woke up almost every morning wanting to get a skill point. This was typically when he got the points he needed for that semester of school.  Luckily, he was always in a good enough mood to get an A+ by going to his finals.

Mitch was lonely and so he went to a community lot and checked the place out.  He found that Emily Lee was 2-bolts attractive, so he went over and started playing darts with her.  He suddenly started throwing all kinds of wishes for her.  Now, we know, from her update, that she is involved with Tom Freshe, but she is also part romance sim. It will be interesting to see what she wants when we eventually get back to her.

Max began to get into dancing and woke up most mornings wanting to smutle dance for a least a little.  This gave him very easy wishes to meet first thing in the morning.

We see that DJ and Max are now officially in love...and if you've played around with wishes you know what is probably coming up next.

Yes, right after they fell in love Max rolled up a wish to get engaged to DJ Verse.  So it was, although I have no idea what the date was because I wasn't paying any attention to the time, and in uni it's difficult to determine "dates."

Mitch, meanwhile, was desperate to have his first kiss.  I believe he also had a wish to kiss Emily Lee specifically.  Since this is wishes, we obliged and invited her over.  Mitch got his first kiss this way.

That first kiss, unfortunately, set off a series of events that took this formerly 4.0 student, who I really thought was going to keep the 4.0 the entire time, down to a B.  He didn't sleep, he had asked for a skill point earlier in the day, and then it rolled away and he didn't request on the next day.  He did want to write a term paper, and he hadn't gone to class the day before either, so off he went to a community lot where they had computers. He finished his paper before we realized he was still short a skill point.  He never did wish for that skill point.  I even sent him to bed for a few hours and nothing.  So he got a B the final sophomore semester.

Max had been dancing enough he gained enthusiasm to the point of getting invited to the hobby lot.  Max had also decided to gain some skills this final semester and got himself an A+.  I set up an easel and a chess table in the hope that during their "free" time they might skill on their own, and it worked.

Summary:

Max FlexorWas the easier of the two to keep happy, but still not easy.  He wished for BFF's and BF's so often, which are really more a timed event then something he could really do anything about.  He did wish to throw parties almost every day, and since he always wanted to influence someone to entertain someone else we were usually able to get a couple.  He suddenly, towards the end of the round, decided he wanted to be more than a B student, but for the first 3 semesters, he would wish for just enough skills or school work to be at a B and then no more.
Ending Wishes: Have 5 Best Friends, Meet Someone New, Be BFF with Chaz (Whippler), Gain a Skill Point (Locked), Ask Sim on Date

Mitch IndieHe was a PAIN.  Both these guys suffered from the same affliction that has Delilah.  They will starve to death before cooking anything.  On a couple of RANDOM occasions, Mitch wished to serve food, but they were few and far between.  I had to control a lot more than I wanted to because they would get stuck doing something, complain about being dirty, hungry, or tired and then go right back to what they were doing.  Mitch even passed out in the foyer.  It was frustrating. Mitch struggled to keep his mood up enough to do any of the things he wanted to do.
Ending Wishes: Buy a Piano, Buy a Guitar, Be Best Friends with Jennifer (Langerak), Be Saved From Death, See a Ghost
