-------------------------------------------------------------------

Before I begin to fill you in on what happened with this family I want to point out two new "rules" (well one is new, one is an amendment to an existing rule) that I will be playing with going forward.  First the amendment.  I have always played where wishes fulfilled on a date do not count towards the 5-daily wishes, as date wishes are all basically the same.  I am amending that to now be, while wishes fulfilled on a date will count towards their daily goal, I will not direct any wishes to be fulfilled after "Ask on Date" is done.  If any wishes are completed by the couple themselves, without my involvement, then I will count it as fulfilled.

The second change to the rules is the addition of a rule that I broke a couple of times during this house already but will try to get better at it.  That new rule is, unless it is going to fulfill a wish, or do something "required" that cannot be wished for, I will not direct the sims. What this means is, beyond things like paying the bills, that a sim will never do autonomously and/or wish for it on their own, they have to be working towards fulfilling a wish either for themselves or someone else to be directed (with the caveat of being on a date as mentioned above.)  So, for instance, unless a kid wishes to do homework OR the parent wishes to help with homework, or see the child get an A+ I will not direct a sim to do it.  This will not be held to for things like updating or buying furniture or handling the athletics of the house (even though they might wish for something like a crib if they have a baby) I won't require a wish for new furniture or a better bed, etc.

All right, with that fun out of the way let's see how the season went with the Greenman's.  This family is the first one to start on the first day of the season.  Typically a family starts the day before, even sometimes mid-day the day before, but these guys begin the morning of the 1st day of the season, so they will only be played for the 5 days the season has.

When the house opens we get Jason started on gaining one of the skill points he needs for a promotion.  Since he doesn't care what skill, he just wants a skill point, he works on Mechanical and gets it quickly.  Little Daisy is on her way to the music box to work on her creativity skill point.

Rose, on the other hand, heads to the computer to look up jobs.  Wouldn't you know it, one of the two careers she wished to join came up.  Rose becomes the newest employee at an architecture firm. She almost instantly throws a wish to get a skill point after that, just like her husband.

However, before anything more can be done, the welcome wagon arrives with familiar sims in tow.  Rose heads out to greet them all and most of her wishes change to wanting to make friends.  This will be the Rose we know from here on during this season.  The Rose that is more pop sim then family sim.

Rose then gets the, now expected, phone call from someone asking if she wants to go downtown.  She doesn't particularly want to go, but in this hood, we always accept these offers and so she gets ready to head out.  Jason was at work, so a nanny was requested to come by....twice apparently.

Rose heads out and I believe it was Ramir Patel that actually invited her out, but the group for the outing is quite large, and as soon as she arrives she wants to buy coffee for someone, so they all head to the small coffee shop. We even have a nanny in tow, maybe that's why two showed up.  The one was headed out with us.

Rose and Ramir sit and enjoy a coffee and conversation together.  They are friends already and spend multiple hours just enjoying the company of each other.  It's an easy friendship with nothing else to it.

However, we do spy two other very common sims on this lot, and they almost look like they are on some kind of date here (even though they are not, they showed up at different times, but still.)  Angela and Puck could have some interesting kids if they hit it off.  Have a ways to go before we reach either house, however, so who knows what will happen.

Back home, Rose's wishes turn to making friends with the welcome wagon.  She wants to make friends with Faith and Carlos at least and wants to be BF's with Ramir.  So she talks, she jokes, she plays, and she talks some more to get Faith as a friend.

Once Jason gets home, it continues to be skill central around here.  With a knowledge sim, this is expected, but he isn't a plant sim and needs sleep.  So while he does ok on his wishes, most of the skills he needs or wants are much higher level than is easy to reach in one night.

Once Jason goes to bed for the night Rose wishes to get a skill point herself and so she sits down and reaches a mechanical skill point quickly.  Her wishes now turn back to making friends and getting a promotion.  The family doesn't have a ton of money yet, so the other wishes for things like hobby benches will have to wait.

The next morning Jason wakes up with a wish to eat pancakes.  Well, that is a very easy wish to fulfill as it is breakfast time and he is hungry with enough culinary points available to make pancakes.

Then his wishes turn towards work, like go to work, get a promotion, and then back to normal knowledge sim things like see a ghost.  He'll head off to work a little later, so in the meantime, we work on helping Daisy get her wishes in for the day.  Which included a game of peek-a-boo. I love the looks on toddlers' faces while playing this game.

Rose comes home very happy, having gotten promoted that day already.  She is back to wishing for a skill point and to make friends with Carlos, be friends with Faith, and best friends with Ramir.  She is going to be a handful.

When Jason returns home, he is also wishing for skill points, but I believe he is now feeling more specific.  He specifically wants a creativity skill point.  So on goes the hat, and he sits down to tickle the ivories for a while.

Outside in the side yard, Rose and Daisy are working on getting some sunshine and Rose needed water as well.  This has the added benefit of working up her body skill, albeit slowly.  Little Daisy is getting ready to grow up as well but has already reached her wishes for the day.

How quickly time flies, and while I forgot to note the exact day or time, Daisy grew up into an adult female and rolled, much like her mother, to be a family sim.  She also happens to be a secondary romance sim, and her lifetime want is to have 6 grandchildren.  I suppose if she has trouble finding a mate she can just spawn a bunch of kids.

Rose is wanting to now be friends with Herbert Goodie, who came by the other night with his wife Faith while Rose was trying to reach best friend status with her.  She becomes friends with him easily enough over a game of hacky sack.

Jason decides to be a pain and doesn't want anything easy to reach.  The easiest he's got is to win a dancing contest, which isn't likely to happen.  He may be interested in music, and good at the piano, but that doesn't make you a good dancer.  However, a trip to the community lot might shake up his wishes, so off he goes.  Not a big shock, but he doesn't win, and it's after midnight, so it will wait until later now.

Daisy is wishing for a date.  Now she knows almost no one, seeing as how she jumps straight from toddler to an adult, so she heads down to the community lots to try and meet some guys.  Maybe one will be interested in a date.  She does meet 2 men who are 2-bolts right away.  Chester Gieke and Andrew Martin.  Both of them have expressed interest in other ladies of the hood, but this is wishes, so after talking a little to both, Chester seems to be the better match and she asks.  He says yes, and the date instantly ends.  Not sure what happened there, but Daisy goes home happy anyway.

The next day Daisy hasn't lost the desire to have another date as well as to be friends with Chester.  She invites him over, and he comes happily by.  They start another date, and this one goes through the end.  They manage to reach a couple of wishes for Daisy while they are at it, but it was all on their own.

Rose, once again, comes home promoted on the very next day of work and she is feeling great, other than the fact all her wishes revolve around making friends or best friends with various people around the hood.  Aren't you a family sim Rose?

That night there is a thunderstorm and while Rose does the smart thing and wishes to skill, Daisy is left to her own devices, having reached her wishes for the day, and spends the entire evening splashing in a puddle.  She never leaves it.

With that, we have reached the end of the season.  It mostly flew by, and with two plantsims I just keep them fairly busy all the time.  I would like to get some more plant lights to help with the sunlight needs, but for now, they are doing well.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Summary:

Jason: One of the hardest sims to keep happy most days.  His wishes seldom shook up, even if I took him out and while he would want for a couple of skill points, most of the levels are getting harder and harder to reach quickly.  He also started wishing for the harder to get things like, see a ghost or be saved from death.
Ending Wishes: See a Ghost, Get a Promotion, Reach Body Level 6, Reach Cooking Level 7

Rose: Started off pretty easy, but then hit a couple of rough days with the wishes for best friends.  It takes more than a day of being a friend to become best friends, and as soon as she made friends all of her wishes revolved around either getting a promotion or making best friends with various sims.
Ending Wishes: Best Friend Friends with Carlos (Contender), Go on Mountain Vacation, Be Best Friends with Herbert (Goodie), Get a Promotion (Locked)

Daisy: By far the easiest sim to keep happy.  Starting out as a toddler she wished daily for things with her parents, like snuggles or playtime, and then as an adult for just a little over 1 day she wanted dates and skills.
Ending Wishes: Buy a Toymaking Bench, Flirt with Chester (Gieke), Be Best Friends with Chester (Gieke), Be Friends with Andrew (Martin)
